RAM® Mounts rebuilds 5,000-part Shopify Plus site with Ambaum

RAM® Mounts, a manufacturing leader in reliable device mounting solutions, partnered with Ambaum to replatform their complex direct-to-consumer website. Their challenge was to migrate from a custom-built ecommerce site to Shopify Plus while recreating and enhancing their sophisticated custom filtering and product configuration features.

Ambaum implemented a comprehensive solution by building a custom Shopify Plus theme with sections for easy content management, leveraging metafields for a dynamic user experience, and utilizing the Product Filter and Search app for advanced filtering. A key feature was the custom mount configurator, built using Shopify’s Section Rendering API and an API feed provided by the client, which allows customers to build their own mounts. Ambaum delivered a highly customized site with reusable code, enabling RAM® Mounts to manage future updates internally and roll out the builder functionality across other product lines.
