How STIHL managed the content distribution of their resellers

STIHL, the global maker of motorized machines for forestry, agriculture and garden maintenance with 54,000 resellers in 160 countries, struggled because dealers were expected to create their own marketing content, producing inconsistent and ineffective advocacy. To address this, STIHL implemented the Ambassify advocacy platform to centralize and automate content creation and distribution for its reseller network.

With Ambassify, STIHL became the content provider—publishing ready-made, localized campaigns (e.g., the “STIHL Together community” in Benelux) that resellers simply share—while using Ambassify’s tracking to monitor shares, reach and clicks. The solution boosted measurable engagement: a 61% conversion rate on Social Share with 15,936 clicks, 9,886 clicks from the Share Facebook Post campaign, and 1,870 shares generating 4,632 clicks from Share a Link, plus improved campaign orchestration and reseller participation.
