A Amazon Web Services Case Study
ZEDO is a San Francisco–based ad-technology company that helps premium publishers sell and deliver internet ads. Facing limitations from a legacy stack, ZEDO needed to combine its publisher and advertiser platforms, integrate services, and accelerate delivery of new features without disrupting publishers’ ad revenue.
By migrating to AWS and using EC2, VPC, ELB, Auto Scaling, S3, SQS, EMR, CloudFront, CloudFormation and IAM, ZEDO built a globally scalable ad server that serves billions of impressions per day and hundreds of thousands of requests per second. The move enabled near-continuous deployment, cut ad-delivery calls and latency by about 50%, sped global ad changes to minutes, improved targeting and upsell opportunities, and reduced operating costs by roughly 40%.
