XL Axiata Transforms into a Cloud-First Telco with AWS

XL Axiata is transforming into a cloud-first telco and needed a stronger foundation for its digital transformation, including optimized cloud infrastructure, faster provisioning for mission-critical workloads, and better cost control as it scaled. To support this journey, the company worked with Amazon Web Services using services such as AWS Landing Zone, SAP S/4HANA on AWS, and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, along with AWS Enterprise Support and AWS Training and Certification.

Amazon Web Services helped XL Axiata establish a Cloud Center of Excellence, right-size instances for cost savings, and scale faster with microservices and Kubernetes. The results included reduced provisioning time, improved optimization, and a more agile cloud operating model, while AWS training has already upskilled over 500 employees. XL Axiata is now expanding into analytics, hyperautomation, and omnichannel customer experiences, with AWS enabling more personalized and efficient digital services.
