Xebia and dsm-firmenich Help Farmers Meet Their Sustainability Targets on AWS with Sustell

Xebia and dsm-firmenich faced the challenge of helping animal farmers measure and reduce the environmental impact of their operations while meeting growing sustainability, audit, and financing requirements. They used Amazon Web Services to run Sustell on a serverless cloud infrastructure, enabling scalable, flexible, and lower-carbon processing for life cycle assessment and farm-footprint analysis.

Amazon Web Services, working with Xebia, implemented a serverless solution using services such as AWS Lambda and AWS AppSync to power Sustell. The platform lets farmers simulate feed and farming changes, supports more accurate LCA calculations, and reduces operational overhead and infrastructure costs. The result is a more sustainable, scalable system that helps users comply with ESG and lending requirements while lowering energy use and carbon footprint.
