A Amazon Web Services Case Study
Wynk Music, the Airtel-owned streaming app, needed a more agile and scalable infrastructure to support its Discovery platform and growing traffic. By moving from monolithic applications to Amazon Web Services’ Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), the team aimed to simplify Kubernetes management, speed up service delivery, and improve performance.
Amazon Web Services implemented Amazon EKS to run a microservice-driven architecture, letting Wynk operate around 100 microservices in production at once. The results included reducing new service development time from 2 weeks to 4 days, cutting workload capacity to half of what it was before, and maintaining 99th-percentile latency at under 50 milliseconds even as traffic changed dynamically.
