WirelessCar - Customer Case Study

WirelessCar, a telematics provider founded in 1999 that builds vehicle connectivity for brands like Rolls‑Royce, BMW, Volvo, Toyota, and Renault and operates in 50+ countries, faced growing limits with its on‑premises delivery engine. The static test environment was hard to scale, costly to maintain, difficult to keep in a clean initial state, and required lengthy capacity planning that slowed development.

WirelessCar moved its delivery engine to AWS, automated provisioning with CloudFormation and a custom abstraction layer, and now spins up clean test environments automatically on each code commit. The change cut maintenance from ~80% to 5–10% of the team’s time, enabled roughly four times the daily server capacity and twice the user/repository support, and increased feature delivery from one major feature every six months to about one per month, while lowering operating costs and improving cost transparency.
