Wanup is a Barcelona‑based hotel loyalty startup (launched 2015) that aggregates independent, boutique, and chain hotels for members who earn rewards across brands. With 100 employees and 600,000 members, the company outgrew its physical IT infrastructure—unable to predict capacity needs or reliably support critical SAP applications—and needed a flexible, scalable platform and SAP expertise to support rapid growth.

Wanup partnered with Linke IT and used AWS (EC2 r4/c4 instances for SAP HANA and the communication layer, Amazon S3 for 20+ TB of storage/backups, Amazon VPC, and AWS Activate) to deploy SAP on AWS in two weeks. The result is an automated, high‑performance environment that scales on demand, avoids costly in‑house specialists, and supports onboarding more than 1,000 hotels while ensuring secure, EU‑region data residency.
