Vestel - Customer Case Study

Vestel Elektronik is a Turkey‑based consumer electronics group whose R&D arm, Vestek, builds services like the Vestel Smart TV portal. The company struggled with costly, time‑consuming infrastructure split across multiple providers, needed to move its databases into the EU to meet regulations, and wanted lower latency, faster time to market, and fewer operational burdens so engineers could focus on innovation.

Vestek migrated its Smart TV platform to AWS in the Ireland Region, using EC2 with Elastic Load Balancing, S3, Route 53 and multi‑AZ Amazon RDS. The move took days, enabled rapid server provisioning, cut latency by about 20%, ensured EU data residency, reduced server count and maintenance effort (fewer engineers required), lowered costs, and freed the team to concentrate on R&D; Vestek now plans to add CloudFront and migrate its developer environment to the cloud.
