Untold Studios Unlocks Creative Potential by Running Entirely on AWS

Untold Studios wanted to launch a new creative studio quickly while supporting demanding visual effects, animation, and 2D/3D design workflows at scale. To do that, the company chose Amazon Web Services and built its business entirely on the AWS Cloud, using Amazon EC2 G4 instances to deliver the compute and rendering power its team needed.

With Amazon Web Services, Untold Studios also implemented WekaIO Matrix on AWS for high-throughput file access and Amazon S3 for storage, enabling a globally distributed team of more than 100 creatives to work in the cloud every day. The result was a studio launch in weeks instead of months, capacity that could be spun up in about 2 minutes, and the flexibility to optimize machine selection for different tasks and remote workers.
