Unified is a SaaS company that connects and analyzes marketing and social media spend for agencies and brands, helping customers coordinate campaigns and turn data into actionable insights. Faced with the need to ingest and process terabytes of advertising data daily, rapidly scale for fast growth, ensure enterprise-grade security, and implement cost-effective business continuity, Unified needed a cloud-native solution rather than building everything in-house.

Unified built its platform on AWS, using Amazon EMR with Spark for ETL, Amazon S3 for storage (half a petabyte), Amazon Redshift (15 TB) and RDS for analytics and reporting, plus EC2 Spot, CloudFormation, Lambda, IAM, and KMS. The result: reliable daily ingestion of multiple terabytes, automatic scaling that has handled up to eightfold throughput increases, near-instant disaster recovery, strong security controls, and lower costs compared with traditional enterprise solutions.
