Tyler Technologies Recovers Mission-Critical Workloads 12x Faster Using AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery

Tyler Technologies, the largest provider of software to the U.S. public sector, faced a growing need to improve remote access to municipal court proceedings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using .NET on Amazon Web Services, Tyler built its Virtual Court solution to help courts continue operations when in-person appearances were difficult or impossible.

Tyler Technologies worked with Amazon Web Services to move the solution toward a serverless architecture using AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon S3 for document handling and streaming. After load testing and performance tuning, Tyler launched Virtual Court in production, giving customers a more efficient court proceedings option and improving remote access to justice during the pandemic.
