TrialSpark Increases Speed of Clinical Development on AWS

TrialSpark, a clinical research provider, faced slow and inefficient clinical development caused by highly variable trial processes and a lack of standardized technology platforms for running end-to-end studies. To address this, TrialSpark used Amazon Web Services to power its patient-centric Pilot platform, which combines recruitment, eSource, EDC, and eCTMF to streamline clinical trials and make participation easier for independent physicians.

Amazon Web Services helped TrialSpark build reusable cloud infrastructure with Amazon Connect, Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2. The result was zero transcription errors, site recruitment that was 40% faster than the national average, and one study where TrialSpark enrolled about 30% of patients while operating fewer than 20% of the activated sites; the platform also supported remote trial operations during COVID-19.
