A Amazon Web Services Case Study

TicketLeap - Customer Case Study

TicketLeap is a lightweight online ticketing platform used by thousands of event organizers across the US and Canada, serving everything from haunted houses to community theater with a 25-person team based in Philadelphia. While building a new ticketing platform, recurring and severe problems with their hosting provider forced TicketLeap to look for a more reliable, scalable solution.

TicketLeap moved its entire platform to Amazon Web Services—using EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, ELB, Auto Scaling and monitoring—integrated via Python/Django and Boto. The migration halved hosting costs, sped iteration by an order of magnitude, and dramatically shortened development-to-release cycles, giving the startup the flexibility and reliability to roll out new features faster and capitalize on ongoing AWS improvements.
