THREAD Scales Decentralized Clinical Trials Across 60 Countries Using AWS

THREAD, a life sciences company modernizing clinical trials, needed a secure, scalable way to unify disparate trial data and support decentralized studies across multiple countries. Working with Amazon Web Services, THREAD used services including Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, and the AWS Well-Architected Tool to improve its architecture, strengthen data security and regulatory compliance, and streamline access to participant data and digital trial tools.

Amazon Web Services helped THREAD build a centralized platform for remote studies, with automated data capture, a researcher portal, and easy access to applications from virtually anywhere. As a result, THREAD has supported studies with more than 100,000 participants across 60 countries, while reducing manual data-collection effort and helping customers accelerate time to market.
