TechnipFMC, a global leader in engineering and project management for the energy industry, needed a secure, consistent way to scale IT services across 45 countries and migrate externally facing SharePoint sites without disrupting business. The company sought better DMZ consistency, stronger perimeter security for confidential customer data, and a reproducible, self-service model to support incremental site migrations.

Working with AWS partner Flux7, TechnipFMC implemented the AWS Service Catalog with CloudFormation templates to enforce security and compliance, enable self-service provisioning, and standardize deployments. During a proof of concept they migrated more than 30 SharePoint sites, proved faster, repeatable provisioning across regions, and established a secure foundation that lowers operational costs, simplifies future migrations, and supports consolidation of inherited sites.
