TC Energy, a major energy infrastructure company managing 60,000 miles of pipeline, needed a better way to unify and analyze diverse operations data for its O360 initiative. Working with Amazon Web Services, the company set out to build an operations data platform that could support advanced geospatial analysis, improve information access, and help teams collaborate more effectively while prioritizing safety and sustainability.

Amazon Web Services implemented a data lake and analytics architecture using services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon API Gateway. The solution created a unified source of data and a web application that lets planners drill into information and identify opportunities to bundle capital projects, reducing costs and environmental impact; initial cost savings are expected to fund the broader multi-year initiative.
