Takenaka Corporation needed a better way to manage and use data in construction projects, so it began evaluating cloud infrastructure in 2019 and chose Amazon Web Services after comparing providers. The company planned a digital construction solution on AWS to support its broader digital transformation and migration of business systems to the cloud.

Amazon Web Services helped Takenaka Corporation build a data foundation and application suite using services like Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, AWS Glue, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Kinesis. The result was about 25 applications launched between 2020 and 2022, including a Workforce Loading Predictor that unified personnel planning across branches and replaced spreadsheet-based forecasting, while AWS Training and support helped the project move forward smoothly.
