Swoop Aero Leverages AWS to Deploy a Fleet of Aircraft Across the Globe

Swoop Aero, an integrated drone logistics company operating in 14 countries, needed highly scalable, reliable technology to support autonomous aircraft flying in diverse and sometimes hard-to-connect locations. The company wanted to safely expand its platform, maintain constant situational awareness, and use analytics and machine learning to monitor aircraft performance and improve reliability.

Using Amazon Web Services, Swoop Aero deployed services including Amazon SageMaker to support machine learning and operations across its fleet. With AWS, the company can manage flights and computer vision, enable one pilot to remotely control up to 30 aircraft, and simplify new feature development, helping it deliver critical services such as medical transport and disaster response at global scale.
