Supercell Delivers Dynamic, Low-Latency Games to Millions of Players Using AWS Edge Services

Supercell, the Helsinki-based mobile game developer behind five live games played by 250 million users each month, needed a fast, reliable way to deliver updates and assets globally while maintaining high game quality, low latency, and strong security. Using Amazon Web Services, including Amazon CloudFront, Supercell sought to scale quickly and focus on building great games rather than managing its own delivery infrastructure.

Amazon Web Services helped Supercell implement edge services for rapid content delivery, along with AWS Shield and AWS WAF to protect against DDoS attacks and web threats. It also adopted AWS Control Tower to govern more than 50 AWS accounts in a secure multiaccount environment. The result was faster, more reliable game delivery, improved protection and deployment confidence, and a better player experience for millions of users worldwide.
