Sterling Auxiliaries Resolves SAP Downtime and Boosts Productivity to Fuel Business Expansion on AWS

Sterling Auxiliaries, a manufacturer expanding its operations, was struggling with SAP downtime, manual backup work, and connectivity issues in its on-premises environment. With help from Amazon Web Services and Inteliwaves, the company migrated its SAP S/4HANA development, quality, and production environments to AWS and prepared to go live by the start of the new financial year.

Amazon Web Services implemented Amazon EBS snapshots and the SAP-certified AWS Backint Agent on Amazon EC2 to automate backups and restore SAP HANA workloads. The result was the elimination of server downtime and backup headaches, freeing two employees from spending 4–5 hours a day on manual backups and redeploying them to infrastructure work. Sterling Auxiliaries also reported a 25–30% increase in productivity.
