A Amazon Web Services Case Study
Sony Music Entertainment Japan needed to standardize security across more than 300 AWS accounts and align them with Sony Group Corporation’s cloud governance guidelines. To address the challenge, Sony Music worked with Amazon Web Services and built SMEJ Guardrail, using AWS Security Hub as the core of its security posture management approach.
Amazon Web Services implemented a centralized, automated security framework that also uses Amazon GuardDuty, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS CloudFormation. The result was more consistent security across accounts, better visibility into threats and compliance, and faster remediation of issues. Sony Music also reported lower security costs by relying on first-party AWS services and improved staff productivity through a more programmable, scalable infrastructure.
