Solink Reduces Theft by Analyzing 1 Billion Transactions per Month on AWS

Solink, a loss prevention and video intelligence company serving tens of thousands of locations globally, needed a scalable way to analyze live security footage and reduce theft while minimizing false alarms. Using Amazon Web Services, Solink built a cloud-based pipeline to process video from the edge, store footage in Amazon S3, and apply Amazon Rekognition and Amazon SageMaker to power AI-driven monitoring and model training.

With Amazon Web Services, Solink improved its Video Alarms offering, reduced external and internal theft, and gave customers secure remote video access through distributed AWS Regions. The result has been strong customer value, including an average three- to five-times in-year ROI, and Solink says its solution can reduce shrink by up to 70 percent while also lowering legal and cybersecurity risks.
