Securing Data and Advancing Sustainability on AWS with IU International University of Applied Sciences

IU International University of Applied Sciences, one of Europe’s fastest-growing universities, needed a scalable way to support a student-centered, global digital learning environment while keeping infrastructure simple and cost-efficient. To do this, the university worked with Amazon Web Services and relied on container-based infrastructure, including Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS, to run its systems and manage growth with a small DevOps team.

Amazon Web Services helped IU use 38 AWS services, automation, and managed services to streamline operations, reduce human error, and improve flexibility. The result was a more resilient, high-performing, and economical platform that supports personalized learning for students worldwide, with only eight DevOps employees managing infrastructure for about 300 IT staff.
