SAB Holding Gains Freedom to Grow with SAP on AWS

SAB Holding, a diversified group with businesses in construction, publishing, IT, and logistics, needed to move its core SAP S/4HANA systems from another cloud provider to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The migration covered 29 servers and more than 23 terabytes of data, and had to be done carefully because these were business-critical systems.

Amazon Web Services implemented the migration with support from AWS Partner Network Advanced Consulting Partner Forte Cloud. The move was completed in two and a half months with no downtime, cut IT costs by 46 percent, and reduced hardware provisioning time from 30 days to three hours. AWS also enabled automation for 80 percent of repetitive SAP tasks and helped SAB Holding manage its infrastructure more efficiently and with greater scalability.
