RS2 Speeds Up Customer Onboarding for BankWORKS Payment Platform Using AWS

RS2, a Malta-based payment technology company, needed a simpler way to scale its BankWORKS payment processing platform and speed up customer onboarding. The platform supports more than 250 banks and financial services businesses, but its legacy infrastructure made onboarding slow and limited growth. RS2 moved BankWORKS to Amazon Web Services, using services including AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), Amazon EC2, Amazon EFS, and Amazon WorkSpaces.

With Amazon Web Services, RS2 consolidated its infrastructure, migrated more than 700 servers and 450 TB of data, and quickly scaled compute resources as demand increased. The results were significant: customer onboarding time dropped from as long as 1 year to just 1 month, transaction performance improved, and the IT team spent less time on maintenance and more time building new capabilities. Amazon Web Services also helped RS2 support remote work rapidly during the pandemic.
