RS2 Smart Processing Limited needed a fast, compliant disaster recovery solution that could protect more than 400 employees from downtime and data loss. Working with Amazon Web Services, RS2 adopted AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery to strengthen cross-Region resilience and support its disaster recovery audit requirements.

Amazon Web Services implemented AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery so RS2 could test failover and failback ahead of its audit drill and run workloads in its secondary Region when needed. The result was a successful 24-hour disaster recovery test, with average recovery time objective of 30 minutes and recovery point objective of less than 1 minute, well below its 1-hour RPO compliance target.
