Reducing Simulation Runtime Using Amazon EC2 Hpc7g Instances with Fairbrics

Fairbrics, a company developing innovative polyester-making methods, needed to speed up long-running simulations that previously took about 10 hours each on a workstation and could stretch project timelines to months. Working with Amazon Web Services and UCit, the team looked for a scalable HPC setup that could improve simulation performance while supporting its budget and sustainability goals.

Amazon Web Services helped Fairbrics run its workloads on Amazon EC2 Hpc7g instances powered by AWS Graviton 3E processors, along with NICE DCV for secure remote monitoring. The result was simulations running about twice as fast, with five simulations now able to run in parallel in just a few hours, cutting turnaround from months to days and improving price performance, efficiency, and security.
