Reducing Developer Overhead by 50% by Migrating to Amazon EKS with Mobileye

Mobileye, a global automotive technology company, was looking for a better way to deploy and scale its compute resources for machine learning and data workloads. To address this challenge, Mobileye began migrating to Amazon EKS and used AWS services such as Data on EKS (DoEKS) and DoEKS Blueprints to streamline Kubernetes-based workload deployment and improve development efficiency.

With help from Amazon Web Services, Mobileye rearchitected its stack for better configurability, observability, and scaling, including integration with Karpenter and extensive use of Amazon EC2 Spot Instances. The result was the ability to run more than 400,000 virtual CPUs concurrently across two clusters, while reducing developer overhead by 50% and improving productivity and time to market.
