A Amazon Web Services Case Study
Quantcast is an AI-driven real-time advertising and audience-measurement company that processes up to 40 petabytes of data daily across more than 100 million web and mobile destinations. Facing aging data-center hardware, limited ability to scale quickly, and reliability risks that threatened real-time bidding revenue, Quantcast needed a more flexible, cost-effective infrastructure.
Quantcast migrated key systems to AWS—using Amazon EC2 (including Spot Instances), S3, and Auto Scaling—for its real-time bidder, QuantFlow, and QCLearn platforms. The move enabled automatic scaling of up to 1,000 instances daily, improved uptime and global availability, and reduced compute costs significantly (up to 60% for QCLearn and about 25% savings for the real-time bidding workload versus reserved instances).
