PubNative - Customer Case Study

PubNative, founded in 2014, is a supply‑side platform that helps mobile publishers deliver native ads. The company needed to support real‑time bidding with extremely low latency while scaling rapidly—revenue grew 10x year‑over‑year and monthly accounts rose nearly 10%—and wanted to onboard large new clients immediately without buying hardware.

To meet those demands PubNative rebuilt its stack on AWS, rewriting services in Go, deploying with Docker on Elastic Beanstalk, and using DynamoDB, S3, SQS, RDS, and ElastiCache with an in‑instance cache layer. The redesign cut EC2 costs by more than 70%, reduced latency from ~60 ms to 5 ms (keeping transactions well under the 100 ms target), and lets the company handle more traffic on smaller instances and spin up new regions in under a day.
