PrivatBank Protects Business, Safeguards Customer Access to Banking Services at Time of Unrest by Migrating to AWS

PrivatBank needed to protect its people, employees, and customers’ access to banking services during the unrest in Ukraine, especially with the risk to its two on-premises data centers and critical banking infrastructure. The bank turned to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help migrate its core banking systems to the cloud and keep ATMs, cash availability, and online services running.

With support from Amazon Web Services, PrivatBank migrated all its applications and services to AWS in just 2 months, moving 4 petabytes of client data and 270 applications from 3,500 servers. The fast migration helped preserve and protect the business, while safeguarding service availability for customers during a time of war.
