A Amazon Web Services Case Study
PowerSchool, a cloud-based K–12 software leader, needed a flexible, scalable way to expand its MyPowerHub parent engagement platform beyond the U.S. while meeting Canada’s strict data privacy and residency requirements. Using Amazon Web Services (AWS), PowerSchool set out to deliver a single, easy-to-use experience for parents across multiple school systems in time for the 2025–26 school year.
Amazon Web Services helped PowerSchool launch MyPowerHub in Canada in just five months by providing secure, highly available cloud infrastructure and architectural support. Built on AWS services such as Amazon CloudFront, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and AWS WAF, the platform keeps data in Canada and supports scalability for future regions; the solution also already supports 120 languages and was first adopted by 400 U.S. school districts, with AWS now helping PowerSchool add more advanced AI capabilities.
