Pizza Hut Cuts Data Processing from Hours to Minutes with AWS

Pizza Hut, the world’s largest pizza company, needed a faster way to consolidate and analyze performance data across its Asia Pacific stores and franchises. Its manual reporting process could take up to 16 hours, making it difficult to get a single, reliable view of revenue, transactions, customer engagement, and website performance. Pizza Hut worked with Amazon Web Services to replace this with a scalable, cloud-based data platform.

Amazon Web Services helped Pizza Hut and Searce build a modern data warehouse and data lake using services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift, along with automated dashboards and governance tools. The result was near real-time analytics, a 360-degree customer view, and the ability to create about 20 business intelligence reports in five months. Pizza Hut reduced data processing from hours to minutes and could review campaign performance much faster, even the next day instead of waiting a month.
