Pioneering the Connected Vehicle Cockpit Using AWS IoT Services with Visteon

Visteon, a connected vehicle technology provider, needed a fast and secure way to build and scale cloud-based automotive solutions for millions of vehicles. Using Amazon Web Services services such as AWS IoT Core, Amazon S3, and AWS IoT Device Management, Visteon’s small teams were able to prototype quickly, manage over-the-air updates, and support new in-vehicle services like app stores and subscriptions.

With Amazon Web Services, Visteon created a cloud architecture aligned to the AWS Well-Architected Framework that improved productivity and accelerated innovation. The company uses AWS IoT Core device registries and Jobs to identify vehicles and automate update campaigns, while Amazon Kinesis Video Streams supports remote video monitoring; these capabilities helped Visteon deliver products faster and open up new revenue opportunities through automaker integrations.
