Peak, the London-based brain-training app startup, needed a fast, scalable infrastructure to launch quickly, handle sudden traffic spikes, and support future data-driven research without heavy upfront investment. Amazon Web Services implemented a solution using Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon SQS, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk to power Peak’s analytics, storage, messaging, and application deployment. With AWS, Peak can scale capacity in minutes, support more than 1 million games a day and over 8 GB of compressed daily data, and weather traffic surges such as a day when server load more than doubled without disruption.
