Newforma, based in Manchester, NH, develops project information management software for the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) industry, with its flagship on‑premises .NET product Newforma Project Center used across millions of projects. As customer demand and global reach grew, Newforma faced scalability and availability limits behind customer firewalls, slow release cycles, complex instance configuration and deployment, and a need to demonstrate strong data security and regional presence.

To address this, Newforma launched Newforma Cloud Services on AWS, using EC2, RDS, S3, OpsWorks Stacks, CloudFormation, IAM and other AWS services to automate configuration, deployment, and security. The move enabled rapid, repeatable deployments (full web‑service suites in minutes), biweekly software releases instead of 12–15 months, improved security and monitoring, and the scalability and global availability needed to serve customers worldwide.
