Netflix Empowers Remote Artistry with Low-Latency Workstations Using AWS Local Zones

Netflix wanted to support remote artists with low-latency, high-performance workstations for graphics-intensive content creation. To do that, Netflix used Amazon Web Services, specifically AWS Local Zones and Amazon EC2 G5 Instances, to bring cloud resources closer to its studios and artists.

With Amazon Web Services, Netflix achieved single-digit millisecond latency and up to three times higher workstation performance, improving the experience for creators working remotely. The move helped Netflix migrate part of its content-creation process to AWS, while enabling more complex, realistic content and better supporting its global workforce.
