National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center - Customer Case Study

The National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center is a Japanese national research and medical institute that combines advanced clinical care and R&D to fight cardiovascular disease. Facing rapidly growing data from hospitals nationwide and a planned facility relocation, the Center determined that moving off its own servers would ease relocation and improve security and governance, so it decided to migrate its entire network to the cloud.

After an open procurement and security review, the Center chose Amazon Web Services for its network flexibility and compliance features, and — with support from Mitsui Knowledge Industry — implemented monitoring with Hinemos and log management with Logstorage. Five‑year cost comparisons (with AWS Reserved Instances) showed cloud costs roughly equal to on‑premises while delivering stronger security, lower internal operational load, and a cloud‑first strategy for its public data‑collection website.
