A Amazon Web Services Case Study
Loop11, a Melbourne-based remote usability testing tool, was constrained by its previous cloud provider (Rackspace), which couldn’t isolate system modules and caused full-system outages when a single project spiked. The lack of flexible, fine-grained scalability and ineffective recommendations to simply increase instance size left Loop11 needing a more reliable, scalable infrastructure.
With help from base2Services, Loop11 migrated to AWS, splitting key functions onto distinct instances using custom AMIs, automating builds, and using Amazon S3 for backups and CloudFront for static content delivery. The move delivered near-instant scalability, lower costs through on-demand instances, fewer server failures, faster time-to-market, and the confidence to pursue larger clients.
