LIONSGATE - Customer Case Study

LIONSGATE, a $2 billion global entertainment company behind properties like Mad Men and The Hunger Games, needed to streamline collaboration and approval workflows across teams, departments, and geographies. Already using Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and AWS, the company wanted to reduce the SharePoint team's operational overhead and engaged AWS partner Datapipe to take on monitoring and administration.

LIONSGATE deployed SharePoint in an Amazon VPC, using EC2 Reserved Instances for persistent workloads and stopped instances for on‑demand development, while Datapipe handled infrastructure management. The move cut implementation time, eliminated the need to buy and install servers, improved uptime, reduced data-center and support burdens, freed the SharePoint team to build business solutions, and set the stage for using AWS in business continuity and disaster recovery.
