LIFEPLAT is a social-network site that connects people by personalized taglines and a Google Maps interface to find others by interest and location. When preparing to move to the cloud, the company needed a provider that supported its Asia–Pacific user base, could improve scalability and server responsiveness with minimal changes to existing PHP/SQL/JavaScript code, and offered strong security.

LIFEPLAT implemented AWS services—Amazon S3 and CloudFront for fast, reliable file and image delivery; EC2 with auto-scaling and Elastic Load Balancing for responsive, efficient web serving; and Amazon RDS with Multi‑AZ for scalable database management. The migration was smooth, performance and scalability concerns were resolved, storage and delivery speed improved, and the company gained greater confidence in its site’s ability to handle growth and attacks.
