Landgate - Customer Case Study

Landgate is Western Australia’s land‑titling agency, managing property records across about one million square miles. Faced with a 150‑year‑old, paper‑based registration process that left a backlog of 30,000 documents and weeks‑long delays, the organization launched the New Land Registry (NLR) program to digitize forms, eliminate the backlog, improve customer experience, and reduce operating costs.

Working with Ajilon, Landgate rebuilt NLR on AWS (Australia) using EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation and a CI/CD pipeline with auto‑scaling and strict security practices. The cloud platform cleared the 30,000‑document backlog, reduced deed processing to about 20 seconds (versus weeks), cut costs with automated non‑prod rebuilds, and is projected to save ~AU$51 million over five years; customer satisfaction rose to 70–80% and the project completed in 19 months, earning a state award.
