Kiswe Hosts the World’s Largest Paid Online Concert on AWS

Kiswe, a cloud-based video company, needed a secure and reliable way to stream large paid live events while preventing ticket sharing, limiting active sessions, and maintaining low-latency fan engagement at global scale. The challenge became even greater as virtual event demand surged during the pandemic, especially for its BTS concert series.

Amazon Web Services implemented Amazon CloudFront along with Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Elastic Load Balancing, and CloudWatch to securely deliver video close to viewers, scale on demand, and support ticket verification, chat, and interactivity. With Amazon Web Services, Kiswe hosted the world’s largest paid online concert, scaled to 756,000 live viewers, processed 250 million API calls, and sent eight billion chat messages.
