Keystone Underwriting Builds Secure Broker Portal on AWS

Keystone Underwriting wanted to become Australia’s most nimble, diversified underwriter, but its broker quoting process was too manual and slow. After initial development firms failed to match its vision, Keystone partnered with Amazon Web Services and Laneways Software and Digital to build the KeyQuote Broker Portal, a secure self-service platform for brokers.

Amazon Web Services helped Keystone implement the portal on AWS using services including IAM, SNS, S3, and CloudWatch, with API-based integration and administrative dashboards. The result was a major efficiency gain: quotes increased from about 10 per day to 20–30 per day, broker onboarding took under 10 minutes, and Keystone estimated the portal could save the equivalent of 1–2 hires while supporting 700 registered brokers in the first 2.5 years.
