Kee Wah Bakery Brings Timeless Baked Goods to Modern Shoppers with Eshop on AWS

Kee Wah Bakery wanted to modernize its Eshop and solve scalability and reliability issues that were causing the risk of traffic-related slowdowns and revenue loss. To do that, Kee Wah Bakery worked with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Hong Kong and partner Nextlink Technologies to move its on-premises ecommerce platform and Magento software to the cloud.

Amazon Web Services, through Nextlink, implemented a full AWS migration using services including Amazon EC2, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, CloudFront, RDS, EFS, ElastiCache, and AWS WAF. The result was a 12% reduction in site latency, 900% faster website performance, and zero crashes after launch, including during peak Chinese New Year traffic of 20,000 daily visits, with the migration completed in under two months.
