JCB Migrates 80 Systems to AWS, Advancing Common Infrastructure and Data Infrastructure to Respond to Changes in the Business Environment

JCB chose Amazon Web Services to migrate 80 systems and modernize its common and data infrastructure so it could respond faster to business changes. The company needed a secure, scalable cloud environment that could meet financial-industry requirements such as PCI DSS and FISC standards while improving agility and reducing IT costs.

Amazon Web Services helped JCB build an API infrastructure and a data lake on AWS, using services such as Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, AWS WAF, Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, and AWS PrivateLink. As a result, JCB cut API infrastructure build time from 6 months to 3 months, grew its API count from single digits to more than 100 by the end of 2022, and stored about 32 TB of data as of October 2022, with plans to reach 120 TB by 2027.
