Mint migrated its infrastructure to AWS—using Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS for MySQL, Amazon CloudFront, and AWS CloudFormation—and adopted multi‑AZ deployments and encrypted data shards. The move delivered automatic scaling for peak traffic, faster failovers (one minute vs. 30), a 25% reduction in costs, 15% of DBA time reclaimed for development, secure handling of 50 TB of data, and faster provisioning for new features.
