Increasing Sales Opportunities by 83% Working with AWS Training and Certification with Fortinet

Fortinet, a global cybersecurity company and AWS Partner, needed a scalable way to train its worldwide salesforce so employees could better speak to customers about AWS and improve co-sell alignment. It turned to Amazon Web Services and AWS Training and Certification to create a consistent, structured learning program for its business development teams.

Amazon Web Services implemented a set of voluntary training and certification courses, including AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, Sales Accreditation, Cloud Economics Accreditation, and co-selling training. As a result, more than 500 Fortinet employees participated, earning 242 accreditations and helping drive measurable growth: launched-won sales opportunities rose 167% in the first year, and total sales opportunities increased 83% in the second year.
