Igenomix is a global leader in reproductive genetics, providing next-generation sequencing (NGS) testing to fertility clinics and patients from its main lab in Valencia and centers worldwide. NGS generates massive datasets—hundreds of gigabytes per run and terabytes per week—making on-premises compute prohibitively expensive and limiting the company’s ability to scale research and stay ahead in the field.

Igenomix moved its NGS workloads to AWS (Amazon EC2 and S3) with a partner, standing up infrastructure in two weeks and storing tens of terabytes in the cloud. The migration boosted throughput from 4 to 24 samples per 12-hour run (a 600% increase), eliminated large capital and maintenance costs, freed budget for research, and provided global scalability and flexibility for future growth.
